13th international Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF), Tehran, Iran , 22-23 April 2017.
The National Petrochemical Company (NPC) of Iran was hold its 13th international Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF) on 22-23 April 2017 at IRIB Int’l Conference Center in Tehran, Iran.
The petrochemical industry was becoming more and more an indispensable and an integral part of human progress and growth. The industry, however, is facing a number of pressing issues and challenges. IPF-2017 focused on some of these challenges and needs including sustainable use of hydrocarbon resources, shortage of feedstock especially natural gas, competitive solutions and state-of-the-art technologies to maximize returns and to diversify and enrich value chain.
The Forum also discussed the advantages and potentials of developing Iran’s petrochemical industry, exploring ways and means of expanding the industry’s mid- and down-stream sectors via joint venture alliances and attraction of international finances, utilizing domestic and international capabilities for developing and transferring advanced technologies, completing value chains, increasing value-added and developing new hubs with the aim of reaching an annual output capacity of 120 million tons by 2020 and 180 million tons by 2025.

- Low price of oil and gas will not
change in near future, so the feedstock competitiveness is still to be kept by
Ministry of Oil to attract the investors
- Not only the new feedstock with
reasonable price will be available in US, but also US will export Ethane, LPG,
Propane and also Propylene very soon. So new markets needed to be discovered.
- China due to Social-Political
reason will not increase the price of Coal gas in new future, so the olefin
section including ethylene and propylene project will go on and china will be a
self-sufficient Market.
- Naphtha price will make it the most
reasonable feedstock at least in US and Europe, so we can imagine the new
revamp and grass route project based on Naphtha feedstock.

GPCA is one of the leading forum in Persian Gulf for presenting the Urea and Ammonia and generally all fertilizer and petrochemical new development. The main players in the technology provider companies were present in this event. Visit of NEWJCM Shop in Jinzhu;
NEW JCM is one of the leading compressor manufacturer in China and specialized in fertilizer compressors. As Phoenix vision is the technical and commercial partner of NEW JCM, our expert team did have a complete visit from the NEW JCM, new development and specially the new test facilities.
As the only company in China to perform STRING tests of steam turbine and compressors together, NEW JCM is capable of operating a compressor train at full load of up to 25MW. The facilities include a range of performance testing devices, cooling towers and a central control room. In addition to rotation and performance testing of individual compressors, NJCM also performs STRING tests in which the compressor and mechanical drive steam turbine are connected and operated at the same time.

Visit of the ready for sale used urea plant in China;
As the price of natural gas in south and south east of china has been increased and the low price of urea the plant who has natural base gas for production of urea would not look to be more feasible.
In this regard various used plants were ready for selling out to investors, from the other side due to low gas price in the country, and also allocation and presence of financing line between China and Iran, there are some potential for such business. The Phoenix Vision Group Technical and Commercial team did visit from one of the Chinese plant and investigate the quality of Product and the operability of such a project for relocating the plant.

The Silver book is approved ICC EPC turnkey format for the contract and Phoenix vision Group attended this training session who was being presented by Dr.Götz-Sebastian Hök who is the FIDIC member of board. The training session was being done in Iran Society of Consulting Engineering.

The new technologies in biofuels, and reduction of environmental impact was very interesting and shows that such technologies needs a new vision inside the country which Phoenix vision group could be part of it.

Engineering Consultant rights and responsibilities in EPC / EP Contracts training session , Tehran , 08 June 2015
This always an issue that what is the obligation of Engineering Consultant in a contractor based contract and how such responsibilities are secured and how engineering consultant, client and contractor have to solve their disputes in case there was malfunction of Engineering Consultant. Also it was concerned that how the engineering consultant will utilize responsibility Insurance to cover any risk of loss to client or contractor.
Phoenix vision consultant attended this session to know better the responsibilities of each parties, so that better services to client become possible.
